Today I have a very special guest that I am so excited to introduce to you. She is a dear friend, one of my mastermind sisters, and a wealth of knowledge and inspiration! Elaine Lou Cartas is an Assertive Business Coach, global speaker and #1 best selling author serving clients in over 21 different countries. In her coaching role, Elaine specializes in helping women of color entrepreneurs scale their businesses through authentic relationships both online and offline. As a result, her clients have received $25k raises, transitioned into new careers and created their own global businesses.
As Elaine mentions early in the podcast, her past work experiences have shaped her journey to entrepreneurship and the work she does with her clients. She has held 29 different jobs, has been fired from 3 and quit 2 -- all before the age of 30! These experiences, especially her work as a grassroots organizer making over 240 cold calls per day, have shaped Elaine’s own journey to entrepreneurship, as well as the way she works with her clients. We really dive deep about the importance of social connections, building relationships, and taking your online business offline during this episode.
Elaine and I cover a lot during this interview, including…
Why losing her job was the best thing that ever happened to her
How to start using in-person events to grow your online business
The backstory on how Elaine landed her first client (hint: it includes person outreach!)
What Elaine means by “don’t propose on the first date”
