hopes

biz: what is it you plan to do with your one wild & precious life?

the new year is just around the corner, and you know what that means -- time to make some resolutions!  whether you're "big" on making (and keeping) resolutions or not, the new year always provides a chance to start afresh, reevaluate where things are in your life, and consider if it's time for a change. take some time over the next few days to think about what you hope 2013 (and beyond) holds for you.  have fun with this -- write down your hopes, dreams, desires, and wishes.  the first step is just getting them out of your head and onto paper.  in fact, the act of writing in itself is a huge step closer to what you envision for yourself.  having the courage to acknowledge your dreams makes them that much more real almost instantaneously.

though you may not be able to tackle everything on your list in the next 12 months, you'll likely see a theme -- perhaps many of your goals point to the fact that you'd like more time with your family, need to rethink your workload, or want to commit to your meditation practice -- and then focus your efforts on working toward that underlying goal that's affecting all the things on the periphery.
