i know i'm getting into resolution-making, goal-setting, vision-board creating mode. are you?
and, that's all well-and-good except for that fact that despite our best intentions, when all is said and done just a measly 8% of us attain the resolutions we set for ourselves each year (statisticbrain.com).
75% of us can maintain our resolution through the first week. yippee!! off to a good start.
64% of us manage to stick with our goals for one month. we're hanging in there...
but, less than half are still on track after 6 months.
so, what does that mean?
it means that a lot of well intentioned, focused people are giving up on their dreams! and i hate to see that.
to help you reach your business dreams in 2015, i've developed a 5 step plan that'll help you identity, quantify and achieve your biz goals for the new year.
first, check out the vid below & then download this worksheet to help you on your way!
if you had to pick one word for this upcoming year, what would it be?
what do you want your life+biz to embody in 2015?
would it be...
confidence.
abundance.
gratitude.
satisfaction.
joy.
creativity.
vision.
passion.
authenticity...
at the start of the year, i always like to take time to paint a vision for the next 12 months. something that i can feel, taste, embody and strive for.
then, as i move through my days, weeks and months, i have a touchstone to come back to. something to check in with and see if i'm truly on track with the dreams & visions i hold for myself.
this year, i invite you to challenge yourself to define YOUR word for 2015. (often the first one that pops to mind is a great one to go with!)
once you have your word, you have your focus for your life and business. you have your direction, your lighthouse. just steer in that direction!
check out today's vid & then define YOUR word.
so, what's your word?

one of my favorite things to do as any year draws to a close is to take stock of the past 12 months. to look back and revel in all the amazingly awesome things that came my way, and cultivate a little gratitude for them.
2014 was a life-changing year for me, as my husband and i welcomed our first baby this fall.
over the last 12 months my life (and life view) has radically changed (all for the better), and i can't help but feel immensely grateful for all the blessings in my life...including all the amazing yogis and heart-centered entrepreneurs who are members of the CALM biz community and continually grace me with their insight, passion & ambition. thank you!
i've put together a fun little exercise (it'll only take 5-10 minutes of your time, i promise!) that'll help you reconnect with all the beautiful blessings that arrived in your life this past year.
listen to the teaching during which i share "a numbered guide to gratitude", grab a pen & paper (or download the worksheet below), and give yourself 5 minutes to soak up the goodness that was 2014.
between family, chores, errands and business building, there is often little time left for slowing down & savoring the moment.
but, the holiday season is the perfect time to put this much needed practice of slowing down into, well, practice.
this year, my husband and i are enjoying our first holiday season with our little girl. so, believe me, we are deliberately taking a lot of time to slow down and savor all the little moments that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.
with her here, our world is a little brighter, a little shinier and filled with an incalculable amount of LOVE -- so, it only seems right to slow down and bask in the glow of this special time.
and, i invite you to do the same for yourself.
if you feel like most of the time your life progresses at 100mph, i encourage you over the next week to take time for yourself, to be with your friends and family and to do things that you LOVE that you don't typically make time for. (don't worry, your business and to-dos will wait for you!)
listen to today's teaching to learn 3 ways to slow down & savor that i'm personally using this holiday season :-)
share the LOVE.
what is one thing that you're definitely going to "slow down & savor" this holiday season? post it in the comments below!
