do you hesitate to send people to your site because it's outdated?
or do you apologize for its lack of functionality or clunky graphics?
does it look like it was built before the 21st century?
don't be ashamed of your website shame! it's actually a very common thing.
even the most beautifully constructed sites will one day look "outdated" if they hang around long enough. and as our businesses and brands grow, it's only natural to outgrow your site!
first and foremost, congratulate yourself for recognizing the need to have a website. it gives you the ability to reach and teach people on a GLOBAL level. but, if you're hesitant to send people to your online hub because it's not an accurate reflection of you, your teaching or your brand, then it's not doing you any good!
wondering if it's time for a new look and feel for your site?

if you're anything like me, you're pursuing a yogic career not just to make a difference, but also to create a LIFESTYLE that you love and enjoy.
but, let's me honest, building & running a business is no easy task. and, no matter how "yogic" we are, there are always going to be times when we find ourselves feeling stressed, stuck and frustrated, and thinking "is this really worth it?".
well, my friend, if you're looking to enjoy more ease and abundance, not just in your biz, but in your LIFE as well, i feel ya.
we all know that when we have more time, we are freed up to be our best, most creative, most profitable selves. but with endless to-do lists, family responsibilities AND managing a career, a "balanced" lifestyle can seem like a near impossibility.
being a new mama has made me realize even more than before the harmony i'm seeking between a sustainable business and a fulfilling life. i don't want to waste my time on pointless tasks, unprofitable programs or feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of "to-dos".
if you're in the same boat, trying to design a lifestyle that you love while also building a career you enjoy, today's vid is a must watch!
i'm sharing 3 instant ways to find more time (and, yes, money too!) in your business so that you can enjoy a biz+lifestyle that you absolutely love.
so, i've got a question for ya -- what are you going to do TODAY to find more time & money in your biz? share it below!
i woke up this morning to an email i wasn't expecting -- friends announcing their separation.
these friends, were not just friends, but mentors, teachers and role models.
the news rocked my world momentarily. i respect them both individually and also profoundly respected them as a couple.
it was like a hit in the gut.
even though we hadn't been in touch much lately, i "kept up" with them on social media and through the grapevine of shared connections. needless to say it came as a sad shock to me to hear that their marriage is ending.
simultaneously, it also made me immensely grateful for my own solid, happy, healthy relationship with my adoring husband and the bond that has grown even deeper since becoming parents to our daughter.
this news reminded me, once again, of the impermanence of everything. that no matter how much something may seem like a "given", it is not. and that we shouldn't take anything for granted.
no matter where you are in your life -- happy, healthy, single, married, divorced, starting a biz, growing a business, frustrated, changing directions, struggling, flourishing -- it won't be like that forever. everything is changing and whether you're loving or not liking where you are in your life right now, one thing is for sure...it will inevitably change.
when something arrives in your life that shakes your world -- i encourage you to move through these steps i've outlined in this week's teaching to make the most of the lesson being presented to you.
have you ever experienced a world-shaking moment that jolts you back to reality & makes you take stock of your life?
recently i spoke at a yoga teacher training, and one of the students asked me a question that i've heard variations of time and again.
it went something like this...
"do i really need a yoga niche? couldn't i feel even more fulfilled teaching various students groups, like college students one day and middle aged women the next?"
and this was my response...
"when you first start teaching, i highly recommend that you do teach various groups to see what style of teaching and what kind of student really lights you up as a teacher. but, as time passes, i'm guessing that you'll start to notice that you enjoy teaching this class more than that one, and working with this kind of student over that kind. and, when you start to notice your preferences as a teacher, you're getting closer to your 'home zone' or 'area of genius', and you'll feel MORE fulfilled and happier if you zero in on what you're being called to teach. that's where you'll really make a difference!"
but i get it, "zeroing" in on just one style and/or kind of student can be scary.
we start to think...
"won't i be limiting my potential income?" or "won't i be cutting myself off from potential students that could benefit from yoga?" or "won't it stifle my creativity as a teacher to just focus on one style/student/etc.?"
and my answer to those questions is a big fat NO!
in this week's video, i'm debunking 2 of the most common niching fears so that you can confidently set out to discover your unique area of genius!
